Angina

Angina is a form of acute chest pain and discomfort arising out of the slow flow of blood due to congestion in the arteries. This congestion is generally caused due to narrowing of the blood vessels and shortage of blood supply and oxygen to the heart. The occurrence of pain is due to the supply of more blood in to thin blocked arteries which results in pressure heaviness and squeezing pain in the chest area. The other reason which trigger the angina pain include thickening of heart muscles.

It is very important also to get alert if you experience pain in arms and neck OR an upset digestion. Some people overlook it thinking it to be a normal pain without realizing they are going through Angina.

CAUSES OF ANGINA:

Angina is a starting point for Coronary artery disease. The main reason for angina pain is due to:

  • Lack of blood flow through the artery in to the heart.
  • Lack of oxygen flow in to the heart.
  • Thickening of the heart muscles.
  • Narrowing of the blood vessel due to fatty deposits, which restrict the required flow of blood in to the heart.
  • Fatty deposit or narrowing of the vessels is caused mainly due to consumption of oily food, heavy meals, heavy smoking drugs.
  • Other reasons include  physical stress thyroid diseases , polycythemia, diabetes and blood pressure.

SYMPTOMS OF ANGINA:

  • Acute chest pain with a feeling of squeezing of heart.
  • Pain in arms neck, shoulders jaw and sometimes upper back
  • Shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, excessive sweating or nausea.
  • One of the most crucial triggering point for Angina pain is anger. Continued angina results in heart attack ( Coronary Artery Disease)

REMEDIES OF ANGINA:

 

The general remedies to avoid the occurrence of angina or a condition that results in angina is to have a healthy body:

Have a controlled weight and fit body through regular exercise by burning that extra calories and fat.

  • Control of Diabetes and blood pressure by reducing on salt intake.
  • Avoiding stress and having full and complete sleep.
  • Reduce or stop smoking.

The herbal remedies for avoiding angina are:

  • Include lot of Amla, Lemon, Grapes, Honey, Garlic, parsley, castor oil in your diet and meals.
  • Few drops of honey mixed with lemon or Garlic  can be taken every morning while empty stomach, to clear that extra cholesterol from your blood vessels.
  • Few pieces of garlic boiled in milk should be taken for a healthy heart.
  • Parsley with tea can be taken 2 times in a day.
  • Apples and grapes are highly effective in keeping a healthy heart. As it  is always said an apple a day keeps doctors away.
